Imbolc Ritual

Join Us as We Prepare for a Blessed Spring

This event will begin with a Potluck at 6:00pm. (The Potluck will be following the Basic Ritual class.)This will give participants down time to eat, talk and get to know or catch up with others before the ritual begins.

The Ritual will begin at 7pm.

Imbolc means 'first milk' and is celebratied on Feb. 2nd. It is the half way point between the Solstice and the Equinox. By some Pagan calendars this is the first day of Spring. When the ewe's start lambing. There is fresh milk and fresh meat. When this happened (before the age of trucks and supper markets) It meant that there was now a good chance that those who had survived this long would now make it through to summer. It was also a time when the fat was rendered to make candles, thus it was Briget's day and time to have a blessing of the candles for the coming year.

Come join us for 1,2 or all three events.

If anyone would like to help plan the ritual please contact Elan @[masked]-2339.

(There will be a donation basket out to defray expenses)

I was wondering what the age limit is for this ritual? I have two children. My daughter is a wiser than her years eleven-year-old, and my son is a vivacious three-year-old. I know my daughter can be part of ritual (she has before) but I'm not sure about the little one. Any thoughts?

The question is, "What would you like to contribute?" I am open to you offering anything from showing up, to being the standing Priestess or anything in between. Offer a chant, a guided meditation, call a direction or...?
