Snow Camping - Gold Lake Shelter

A scenic and cozy shelter located near Gold Lake, and accessible from the Gold Lake SnoPark.  Snowshoes or skis will be required. Please read over the list of gear needed in the "Discussions" tab, under "Message Board", then scroll down to "Snowshoeing Checklist".

Gold Lake Shelter is about 2.5 miles one way from the parking lot at the Gold Lake SnoPark.  Keep in mind, this shelter is not one of the two shelters located at the Gold Lake SnoPark.  Those would be Westview, and Bechtel.

The shelter only sleeps four people, so please be prepared and pack a tent or shelter with you.  Sharing the shelter with others is common, so be respectful and willing to share.

I still would like to make it for 2 nights ,ether adding Fri. or Sun. night. Car pooling, leaving time and location from Eugene or meeting up there is open.

I am down for where ever, but one night is my max. I also don't have snowshoes, so I will need to rent them or borrow them from someone.

I would like to add another night ( Fr. or Sun. To make it a 2 night trip)--- I would like to stay at Gold Lake Shelter area, not much elevation,Yes there is out house )---I can drive (have snow tires + chains- taking 2 (would be tight ),That includes taking my pack-slide.

I would only be able to do one night most likely. This is a busy month for me and there's a lot going on. I'll do what I can to either attend or help out.

Matt I would be happy to lead this group. I can drive and will be coming from Corvallis.

Thanks, Andy. If you and BW have a idea of where you want to stay overnight at, let me know and I'll type up a write up for you.

I may not be able to attend, and would appreciate one or two others being able to lead the event, if needed. I can't always make every event, but want to provide events as often as possible for everyone to enjoy.
