Hiking Oregon's History with William Sullivan - REI

Author William L. Sullivan's slide show takes us on an armchair hiker's tour of Oregon's most scenic historic sites. Based on his outdoor guidebook, "Hiking Oregon's History," the presentation follows Lewis and Clark's trail across Tillamook Head and traces Chief Joseph's trail of tears through Hells Canyon. Expect tips on dramatic hiking trails to fire lookouts, lighthouses, and gold mines, too, mixed in with anecdotes about trailside wildflowers and geology. In short, it's a glimpse into Oregon's largest museum -- the great outdoors.

You must register for this event through REI. You can register in person at their Eugene location, or online.

if you register for this event at REI, does the registration include significant other (i.e. wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend etc)

There is a section in the registration that asks for a fill in of how many. So you would be able to bring a significant other if you desired. I did not sign up as a group, as I did not know how many to sign up. Also, if I were to sign up for 12 or so and only 6 or 8 people show up, I have lost 4 spots that REI could of issued to others. Due to the amount of no shows at events, I avoid reserving spots for others. It looks bad saving spots for 20 and having only 12 show up to an event.

The write up explained what was needed to attend. This event is through REI. Once you have signed up with REI, simply click on here that you are going. I offer events on occasion that are classes or functions ran by others. You still need to sign up, register, and pay any dues for events that require that. I'm sorry if anyone missed out, but I clearly said to be sure to register with REI. Always read the full write up for each event that I have taken the time to write out. It will explain the event and answer a lot of questions you may have.
