Hiking - Mount Pisgah

A great hike close to Eugene that offers a gradual climb and some scenic views of the Willamette Valley.

Trail Info: The main trail is 3.0 miles round trip and has an elevation gain of 1000'. In comparison to Spencer Butte, which is 2.32 miles round trip with 800' of elevation gain.

Details: We will meet at the main trail, next to the gate and kiosk. We will hike up together, take some pictures at the top, and then head back down. Parking at Mount Pisgah is $4 per car, and an annual permit is available at REI, Bi-Mart, as well as other local outdoor stores. The permit also covers other parks in Lane County. Great purchase if you hike often.

Please dress accordingly and bring water, a snack, and small pack. Bring a friend if you would like.  Dogs are welcome, if on leash.

Seas of tranquility run deep as the stillness of a sorrowful soul. May the rising moon over Mt. Pisguh guide us with it's cool glow as we ascend to the heights above the city lights. nature heals my introverted soul. let us respect it as it respects us.

Please keep in mind that when hiking with a group, some people enjoy a bit of silence and tranquility. I understand the joys of a good conversation with others, but hearing one person talk and talk non stop is annoying to me. Learn to respect others, allow for some quiet time, listen to others, and not be so overbearing with your conversation and opinions. An open mind and respect for those around you is greatly appreciated. If there are 8 people hiking together, learn to be 1/8th of the conversation. Thank you.

Thank you Matt! That is very kind. Yes, just let me know. I am easy goin' and whatever works out works out. I can meet you anywhere that a bus goes to as well. The buses just don't go to Pisguh. Text or Call me or comment on here. But texting would be easier. [masked]-9346. Thank you much!!

I should be able to swing by your place on my way that day. I will let you know as soon as possible, just in case I'm in a different part of town, that day, before the hike.
