Willamette Valley Outdoors just surpassed three months on December 13th. In the three short months we have had 79 members join, and 14 events. I have planned out trips ranging from hiking and backpacking, to camping and biking. Recently I even added some running events for those of you that enjoy the occasional run. I have been hoping or suggestions from everyone, and have added a suggestion page to the site. It gives each member an option to make a suggestion of what they would like to see added as an event for Willamette Valley Outdoors. It is very helpful to me to have members fill out their simple, and rather easy, introduction. It doesn't take long at all, and it helps me plan out events that key to the interests of each member of the group. It's as easy and comparable to the questions one might ask you at the trailhead, or while enjoying a hike along the river. Please take the time to fill it out.
Each member can also help the growth of the group in many ways. Willamette Valley Outdoors is available on Facebook and is a simple way to stay connected with other outdoor enthusiasts from the group. For every Meetup event, there is a share button you can click to promote the event to your Facebook page. It helps get the word out about the group, and it's a great way to invite your friends to join you on a trip.
In the upcoming months I will be looking to add more events and possibly some new organizers for various adventures. If you are interested and would like to help, please write me back. I could use the help for events such as kayaking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
Thanks for joining Willamette Valley Outdoors, and for taking the time to read this. I look forward to another great three months of fun adventures with everyone.
