February sounds good Lee as I will also be at the TOS meeting and will be on a VENT trip the end of Jan.

Great Question Ray, everyone signed up today will get first shot at signing up for the next trip. I would have done it next Friday, but we have the TOS meeting next Friday.

Just wondering, will we have have to sign up again when it is posted or are we already considered signed up?

I tried to post as early as I could about the cancellation. It was raining pretty hard at my house and I only live about 3 miles from park. Hadn't rained all week and had to pick our day!! Pouring quite hard at my house right now

There was no rain when I left home early. The rain got harder on the way. 2 other participants were at the park. Hope to see you all again in February.

Hey everyone, I went outside about 6:30 a.m. and it was a pretty steady light rain (very heavy drizzle). The forecast on radar shows it continuing until at least 10:00 a.m. so I hate to, but I fear we need to cancel. I know most of us probably don't have rain covers to protect our gear in the rain and bird photography is generally not very productive in the rain. We will reschedule for a time in February. So sorry it didn't work out this week, I was very much looking forward to meeting you and photographing wit hyou.

Hey there. I've got a DSLR with a 100mm prime lens. Is this class useful with my short range zoom lens?

Matt, yes, not every shot of a bird has to be a close up! Some of the best bird shots I have seen, are shots with birds in their habitats!!
