MARRY HOLIDAY OF YOUR CHOICE TO EVERYONE...
I like the term "Boardhead". I didn't realize I was one until I got into windsurfing and gradually added Stand Up Paddling to the sports I enjoy frequently.
I used to sail small sailboats and thought that windsurfing would be just like sailing a small dinghy so I gave it a try. I soon realized that windsurfing is nothing like sitting in (even hanging off the rails of) a sailboat and in fact it is a lot more like surfing. I also realized that Stand Up Paddling is nothing like kayaking or canoeing. It appears that a sailboat or a kayak provide something "solid" to connect to. In board sports that connection appears to be a lot more illusive. The sensation of standing on an ever moving board takes a moment to get used to but being able to control it with the most subtle movements is highly addictive. The interaction among the elements and a multitude of ever changing factors makes standing on a board like nothing else I have ever been experienced. When Stand Up Paddling or Windsurfing any change of wind, waves or current can throw you, literally and figuratively, off your game and sometimes off your board which is where the real fun begins.
