From the intersection of Rt 302 and Rt 115 in North Windham (Walgreens), Go north on Rt 302 for 9.4 miles and turn left onto  Point Sebago Road. In .6 miles turn left to stay on Point Sebago Rd.  Find the launch about 1/2 miles on the left.  Very limited parking at the site or parking along the side of the road.

Paddle past Kettle Cove Marina and explore several islands along this section of the north shore of Sebago Lake. Camp Sunshine, Point Sebago Resort and Sebago Lake State Park are all nearby.

Very windy, with choppy waters, but a nice spot to launch to reach Kettle Cove and the Dingley Islands.

I'm just leaving the house. It's 1:30 and I'll need 50 min to get there. Should I 'abandon ship'?

I've heard it said: "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing." (It might have been an outdoor clothing maker.) There should be good sunny skies this afternoon, but maybe a bit chilly? Still will make for a good paddle and we will be sheltered by the islands. I would suggest a windbreaker be brought along if not worn. See you there!

yes, they said that in Alaska, too, Bill! I won't be making it like I thought, I need to do the "car shuffle" this afternoon. Have a good time!

My daughter, Katelyn, used to work for Seaspray Kayaking in W. Bath and they used to do full moon paddle once a month in the summer. Sounds like a cool idea. If you want to take lead on the trip, I'll put it out there as an upcoming meetup. What time would you suggest we start?

Hopefully my daughter doesn't need to work that afternoon or plans may change for me. Looking forward to getting back on the water!

I have been looking for another way to access this part of the lake all summer. I had to make a delivery down Point Sebago Rd, and drove right past this spot. Now I have to do it!

Sounds Wonderful...Not sure if I can make it but will let you know. Is there a limit? Or is show and go o.k.

No limits. We are quite informal with these outings. If you make it, you go paddling with the group. If you don't make it, the group goes paddling without you. They will miss you, however!
