Join us Tuesday for
Two great talks:
Integrating the Nokia Imaging SDK into a Windows Phone app
- presented by Jeffrey Harmon
Integrating the Live Connect SDK into a Windows 8 app
- presented by John Garland
Microsoft provides several important cloud-based services that millions of users interact with on a day-to-day basis, including the Microsoft Account service, Outlook.com, and OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive.) The Live Connect SDK provides a collection of APIs that can be used to integrate functionality exposed by these services into your applications, including access to identity & personalization, contact & calendar management, and access to OneDrive folders, files, and content. In this talk, we’ll take a quick look at this API, what is required to work with it, and some examples of the functionality you can achieve by integrating this API into your Windows Store apps.
The content in this talk is based on the content in the chapter “Connecting to the Cloud” from the upcoming book “Programming the Windows Runtime by Example” of which John is a co-author alongside Jeremy Likness and is being published by Pearson press.
We'll have Pizza & Prizes!
Demo your Windows 8 app if you have one.
Presented with support from Microsoft.
