ChicagoLUG Certification Prep Meetup

Hi All,

Members of the ChicagoLUG will be meeting this coming Wednesday, July 30th, for our first initial session on a path towards earning Linux-based certifications. These are interactive, co-learning sessions (i.e., not instructor-led).

Here are the meeting details:
Date: Wednesday, July 30th
Time: 6:30pm
Location: The first floor lounge area of Pumping Station One:   3519 N. Elston, Chicago, IL 60618

We'll be continuing through the LPI 'Linux Essentials' exam objectives. We'll be taking notes on the LUG Etherpad, and will make those notes available after the meeting.

Space is limited so please RSVP on this meetup page if you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!

If anyone is interested, the Linux Foundation's Intro to Linux course is available free on edx for auditing or an honor certificate ($250 for a verified certificate). Courseware is included and covers similar content to LPI's Linux Essentials.

YET ANOTHER Meetup I'd like to attend. Can anyone answer a question for me? I'm a Python Software Developer, and I've got some study materials for the LPIC...How would certification help a dev like me?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
