The idea behind this group is to offer a place for people interested in wine to experience wine together. Learning about wine on your own is tough and I find quick tastings at wine shops or huge crowded wine events equally unhelpful. Here we can have a small group, take our time, and get to know more about wines and each other. Whether you know nothing about wine or you're an expert, all that matters is that you're interested.

My hope is to do small group tastings that I know I always want to do but can't justify opening 6 bottles of wine by myself.  Blind tastings could also be fun.  If we have more expert members we would invite them to do a meeting on whatever theme they like.  There are also some great "do it yourself" classes you can run with materials from websites like WineSpectator.com that would be great for a small group.

I know wine and wine enthusiasts can be intimidating but my goal is to make this the most laid back, non-snobby, non-intimidating wine group possible.
