Unless you hear otherwise, the Napa Valley Flea Jumpers meets on the last Sunday of each month at Gordon Huether's Hay Barn on Montecello Road in Napa.

'Ukulele players of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come join us. We play music of all genres and may try to follow a specific theme from month to month. We encourage you to bring a song to share.

We gather at 5pm and may start with a lesson or focus on a specific skill set or song.....or not. Specific details for each meeting may vary from month to month and will be outlined in the comments for that meeting so please check this site the night before so you can come prepared. The one thing you can always count on is pupus and wine. We're usually done by 8:00 pm but reserve the right to carry on if we're on a roll.

If the link for You Tube doesn't work search my name or Napa Valley Flea Jumpers. First time I've ever posted to You Tube so I'm learning the ropes!

This last meeting marked my one year anniversary with the Flea Jumpers and I have to say the improvement in quality of play of the entire group has been absolutely remarkable. Additionally, the increase in membership (compared to my first visit) has led to a huge, and wonderful, variety of new songs. Let's keep it up.

Shoot, looks like there is going to be a fabulous turn-out this Sunday, but I probably won't be back by then (though we are out of the hospital and slowly but cautiously making our way south.) I would like to suggest that we keep our protocol and spend the first hour in "performance mode" with the folks who have been rehearsing for Uke-A-Palooza forming one group and everyone else splitting into maybe 2 other groups. You guys know the drill: choose a song and practice it to perform for everyone else. Then, in keeping with the Hula Hana theme...I think you should each bring in a Hawaiian, hapa haole, or jawaiian song to share......... Remember, you need to be familiar with the song enough to be able to lead it for the rest of the group......

Missing you all, but it looks like I'll be there for your big debut....Most importantly, have you picked a name yet?

If anyone is ever in South Lake Tahoe on a Tuesday evening, join the South Shore Ukulelians for some eatin', drinkin', singin', and strummin'. We meet at Mo's Place, 3600 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Some of us come early at 5:00, to eat and socialize, and the music goes from 6:00 to 8:00. Hope to see some of you there!

That's great, Robert, and I'm sure some of our Flea Jumpers would love to take you up on that offer. But, this is probably not the best place to post that information. If you like, you can start a discussion on the Discussion Page......
