WordPress out of the box is powerful, but there's a "hidden" setting that is over looked or often labeled "mysterious". This setting can take your website creation, development and site management to a whole new level. We call this secret weapon, WordPress Multisite.
We'll take a crash course into this powerful feature and cover what WordPress Multisite is, how to set it up, how to use it and how to take advantage of it and use it to increase our productivity, speed up development time and simplify site management.
Starting off young, I picked up a book on HTML4 back in 2000 and began teaching myself HTML so I could build a website for my band. It was all down hill from there, 2005 hit and I took off at full speed by bagging my first tech job managing/building websites, networks, servers and doing general tech support. As time went on I began teaching myself PHP/MySQL and WordPress in 2007 and I've never looked back. Today I run two start up companies in Sonoma County that are based on/around WordPress, and have begun contributing to the WordPress community with premium and free themes/plugins. On top of all of that I run a highly active community called WIMP (Web and Interactive Media Professionals - www.beawimp.org | https://www.facebook.com/groups/northbaywebpros/) with co-founders Melissa Crain and Joshua Simmons where we do monthly meet ups, Sonoma County's annual unconference - WIMPcamp (www.wimpcamp.in) - work shops and general networking mixers.
