Despite all the self-proclaimed red wine lovers, I think we had a great time tasting solely whites last time. Let's do one more meetup focusing on just whites. As I did with the "Interesting Reds" meetup, the theme for this "Interesting Whites" meetup will be fairly wide open. The idea is to drink whatever whites sound interesting to us that are NOT Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, or Riesling... which is a respectably wide array.
Let's try to focus on exploring single varietals, however if you have a personal favorite that is a blend and you bring a bottle to share, then I'll let the local wine police know not to kick you out. Another exception I'll be willing to make is if any Chardonnay lovers out there thought that their favorite grape was under-represented in the last meetup. Of all the wine we explored last time we only tried one Chardonnay. If more Chardonnay is something folks are interested in then let me know and we can definitely try one or two more this time around.
This meetup will take place at our private residence which also houses cats (an important note to those allergic). Please text me or call me if you need the exact address [masked]). Sometimes I'm bad/slow with email so texts and calls are definitely quicker. And since I get this question a lot: everyone should feel free to bring snacks for themselves or to share. The local wine police prefer cheese, grapes, and crackers, similarly to how Santa prefers milk and cookies. But don't let that hold you back, please bring whatever strikes your culinary fancy on this day.
Like the last couple meetups, I will hide some of the wine in brown bags so we can taste them blind. If you'd like to bring a wine then having it bagged and secretive is entirely up to you, just let me know ahead of time that you're bringing something so I can make room for it in the lineup for the night.
Lastly, there is no local wine police. Don't be so silly! However the local fun police will be here in full force ensuring good times are had by all.
