Drink Wine at Edouard's

Hi Everyone,

Five years ago, not long after moving to Paris, I found the coolest wine shop in my neighborhood in the 17th. It's truly a neighborhood gathering place and the owner, Edouard Sindlar and his wonderful assistant Valentin, keep everybody happy with open bottles of champagne and a cooler full of good whites and select reds.  I hosted my first wine meetup here in fact in 2007!

It's a small shop with no seating but plenty of elbow room. We'll try 4 wines (whites and reds) from various regions. If you have a particular region you'd like to try, send me a note and I'll see if we can include it. This is a TASTING to learn from but not a class and if Edouard or Valentin are available, they will happily answer your questions.

The start time is 7pm because technically the shop closes at 8:30 but they are generally not super strict about this. I will start the meetup on time but we'll catch you up if you can't get there right at 7. The tasting fee is 20 euros and includes the wine plus bread and some charcuterie. I'll be happy to see everyone again!

Best, Donna

P.S. In addition to metros 1, 2, & 3, there are several buses on Avenue Niel (92 & 93) with a stop at Pierre Demours which is the cross street to rue Laugier.

Great time...though next time I'd like to learn a bit more about the wines.

I had a great time at this meet up! I met a lot of new people, tried some good wines, and ate yummy cheese, bread, and charcuterie. I cannot wait until the next one!

It was a very good evening. I prefered red wines (both)

Lots of nice people in attendance. And thanks to Donna and the wine shop for the best charcuterie at a BFoW event so far. The last wine was my favourite. A suggestion: A brief list of 'tasting notes' for each wine would be great so we can better appreciate each selection.
