Toastmasters and Wine Tasting Meetup

Wine Tasting Toastmasters is a new Specialty Toastmasters Club for people who love and enjoy wine. This is a group for fun, friendly wine-loving folks who enjoy exploring new wines, participating in wine dinners/gatherings and of course making new friends.

Just like in a normal Toastmasters Club, we practice speaking in front of others to become more competent communicators and develop strong leadership skills. In addition, we also taste various wines during each of our meetings, which always includes an educational component about wines across the world and wine etiquette. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

All are welcome. Must be 21+ to partake in wine tasting. The Total Wine & More stuff WILL card you if you appear to be under the age of 30.

Members, don't forget to bring your manuals with you to receive credit for your speaking or functionary role.

Additional info about Wine Tasting Toastmasters Club:

We usually meeting at the Total Wine & More Superstore in Redondo Beach, but our regular wine tasting/meeting room is occasionally unavailable from time to time. We will notify all attendees of any location changes in a timely manner.

The Wine Tasting Toastmasters Club usually meets every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Must be 21 years of age or older to partake in wine tasting. Please bring a valid photo ID as staff personnel will card you.

Guests are ALWAYS welcome and are never obligated to speak in front of the group unless, of course, they feel suddenly inspired by our favorite form of liquid courage.

I have a questions, Ive never been to one of these events, but being that the motive is to practice public speaking, do we have to bring something to read infront of everyone...??? Also, I don't have manual? What manual?

Hi Lily, thank you for your questions. To learn more about the club experience, check out this video:. As a guest, you do not need to bring something to read in front of everyone, but you will have the opportunity to participate in our Table Topics portion of the meeting which consists of impromptu speaking or short 2min "speeches" answering a question presented by the Table Topics Master. While guests are always invited to participate, they are never obligated.

As a club member, however, you will get two speech manuals, one for leadership and one for communication, each of which have 10 projects to help you prepare speeches and build effective communication and leadership skills. It also helps build confidence. Our club is a very relaxing group of people. As structured as we are in how we ran our meetings, we're also pretty informal too since our club is only a year old. You should definitely come check us out! We'd love to have you so you can experience it for yourself!
