Austria is a very small country that produces cool climate wines that "punch above their weight" so to speak in both quality and value.
Local Noses now have a chance to learn all about what makes cool climate Austrian wines unique and worth seeking out...starting with answering the first question...what is a cool climate wine?
TLN's own expert Nose, Ying Hsien Tan - a.k.a. Raptor Nose, who is the owner of the Taberna Wine Academy, is offering three very interesting and rewarding wine courses to help Local Noses get smart about Austrian wine during the month-long Austrian Wine Experience promotion.
Below are the basic course descriptions and costs. To register contact Taberna @[masked] or email [masked]
Austria's Main Grape Varieties in Depth
This course will shine a spotlight on Austria's indigenous grape varietals, some of which are not grown anywhere else in the world. This is an excellent chance to expand your wine knowledge and tasting experience outside of the well-known international grape varieties like Cabernet or Sauvignon Blanc and discover unique, and really delicious wines made from Grüner Veltliner, Zweigelt or Rotgipfler through a tutored tasting of 12 wines. Don't miss it!
