THE SITUATION:
During the day, you're a young professional. 

When you're with the significant other, you're the best boyfriend/husband ever (that is, unless you're single... then you're just the guy that enjoys his mom's cooking).

But a lot of the time, you're a guy that just wants to do guy stuff. You want to talk about Natalie Portman, sports, comics, and food. You want to promote your ingenious idea of what would make a great beer, share beer story debacles, horror stories involving beer, and how beer goggles ruined your life.

You want to bash tv shows that suck, debate who is the master at movie quotes, complain about the ex and brag about which co-worker you'd date. You want to cheer your favorite football team and then realize you can't even see the tv screen because the full plate of five alarm hot wings you just sucked in has created momentary blindness.

However, maybe you're new to the area or your friends have moved on and you find yourself tired of lacking any true guy friends to count on. You're in damn need of an entourage, man!

I just moved in the area with my gf so my immediate inner circle of friends/hooligans are out on the East Coast. I'm looking for some people in similar situations to shoot the sh-- with. In time, I'm hoping that for you, this membership evolves into a few drinking buddies and a lot of new friends. Most importantly, I'm hoping that we can create a core group of people you can trust and hang out with otherwise known in guy terms as.... The Wingman.

Social:
-Bar hopping (within our group or join other Meetups)
-Sports bars to root our favorite sports teams or watch UFC/MMA/Boxing ppvs

Relaxed:
-Chilling at the house with a beer and shooting the sh-- ... (sometimes work is killer and you just want to sit back and watch the Predator, right?)
-Poker nights
-UFC/MMA/Boxing ppv get-togethers (watching in-house)
-Xbox/Wii nights (or online play)

Activities:
-Playing sports (I'd love to get a softball/soccer/basketball/kickball/etc. team going and join a league or join with other meetup groups for activities)
-Achieving health goals (meeting up for runs, training for a 5k/mini marathon/etc, workout partners)
-Surf, Snowboard trips
-Hiking
-Kayaking
-Casino trips
-Random road trips
-Wine tasting (since we're so close to wine country...)
-Beer pong/Flip cup nights
-Man vs. Food challenges

Wingman specific:
-Wingman and significant other needed for group date
-Wingman needed to go watch the new movie that the significant other won't watch
-Wingman needed to vent about life
-Wingman needed to help build a deck (hahaha if I had a house to build a deck, this one would be sweet)

MEMBERSHIP LOGISTICS!!!
Membership is by organizer approval. Membership requirements include an uploaded picture of yourself to your account and answers to all membership profile questions. Please answer all of the questions accurately and honestly, ya knuckleheads. I'm going to be less apt to offer an invitation if the answers are too vague..

Also, a main theme of the group is building relationships based off of similar situations and stages in life. Because of this, membership will be restricted to those who fall within the age range. Sorry if that excludes you, reader, but it is important to what I am trying to achieve. That doesn't mean we can't hang out in other Meetup Groups, right? RIGHT??!
