You'll find attached some SkeptiCamp posters and logos.
As discussed at the meeting on Saturday, Donna is planning to add some more posters in this vein, with a little more information on them (including topics and questions that may entice both believers and skeptics to attend). The (updated) list of talks can be found at www.skepticamp.org/wiki/SkeptiCamp_Winnipeg
. According to Laura's notes, Javier and Ashlyn were going to put some posters up at U of M and U of W once they're done.
Some of you had also requested the SkeptiCamp logo that I threw together. I've attached it at two different resolutions.
Scott is putting together a short promotional video for us. Why? Because he's awesome.
I'm going to email some profs at the U of M this weekend to see if they might be interested in presenting. If you have an awesome prof who might have something to say, let him know! If you're in a philosophy class (like Paul Nordin is, for example...) tell your classmates about the event!?Remember to spread the word to your friends, if you think that they might be interested. We're hoping to have more than just us skeptics there, if possible.
I'm also going to get a schedule template up on the wiki. When I do, I'll send out an email, and you'll be free to pick the time-slot of your choice if you're giving a talk.
And finally, I found a place in Grant Park that does custom shirts for slightly cheaper than Zazzle, and there's (obviously) no shipping cost. Plus it will not take very long. So if you're interested in a shirt with the SkeptiCamp logo, date, etc., let me know. It will be around $20, it looks like. (Full disclosure, apparently Laura told me about this place a while ago, and I either forgot or wasn't paying attention. That's what too much work and too much Dragon Age does to the brain, I guess. Some husband I am...)
Let me know if I missed anything. Thanks, everyone!
