The purpose of this group is simply, and quite wonderfully, to offer year-round opportunities to get outside and socialize with others that enjoy the outdoors. Our group welcomes members of all ages.

During the winter we enjoy skiing, with day trips to the local resorts as our main outings.  Also included in our winter fun are weekend trips, ski vacations, ski school, racing, and cross country skiing.  Our club is an active member of the Crescent Ski Council.

During the rest of the year, our members are mountain biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, sail boarding, golfing, and playing tennis.

We have a web-site with more group information (www.wssoc.org) and a facebook page, which we enthusiastically hope you visit!

There are certain trips and activities (these will be clearly labeled) that are only available to the Winston-Salem Ski & Outing Club ACTUAL members (there is a small fee) that are not available to meetup members due to collection of trip funds, needing sign-off on liability waivers, etc.  Please see http://www.wssoc.org/ for more details as to how one can become a member and have full access to enjoy such activities.
