Lake Monona Ride and Memorial Day Picnic!

  • May 31, 2010 · 9:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Come join us for a ride around
Lake Monona. We'll follow a
combination of paved bicycle trails and roads for a distance of about 15 miles. We'll break into several groups, so everyone will be able to ride with others of similar speed.
After our ride, we will have a picnic, with food and fun!
Use THIS GOOGLE DOCUMENT to sign-up for what food you can bring to the picnic and to list picnic activities you are interested in.
ITEMS STILL NEEDED: * Hamburgers (& buns) * Ketchup, mustard, relish, etc...
Plan to arrive between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM. We will push-off promptly at 10:00 AM.
Our specific meeting location is at the parking lot of Olbrich Beach, by the tennis courts, at the intersection of Atwood Avenue and Walter Street in Madison.

I had a great time, both on the ride and at the picnic. Thanks to Norman for leading us around the parade and to everyone who pulled off a last-minute plan to make the picnic a success!

It was a fun ride -- the weather just right and enjoyed meeting folks after wards at the picnic.

After the picnic I hope some people will stop by Brat Fest. Not only free admish, free parking, and free music from over 200 local bands, but every brat/beer you consume contributes to local charities that make our town of Madison so awesome. Especially the children! Musical instruments for schools and like 80 other charities. There, I did my good deed.

Emily -- I've got a 2-gallon water-cooler thing I will bring filled with ice-water. Maybe don't need bottled water, then?
