Are you ready to ROCK? The choice is yours...join us for either a 40- or 82-mile ride across Rock County. Both rides follow the same route for the first 21 miles. The 40-mile route has a few moderately-sized hills, while the 82-mile route crosses the Rock River and explores deeper into the heart of Rock County, crossing the Ice Age Trail several times. The Ice Age Trail delineates the border of the area that was glaciated during the Ice Age thousands of years ago, leaving us with challenging, hilly terrain and offering us spectacular, sweeping views of the landscape from the higher elevations. The 82-mile route is also a great training ride if you are planning to ride either Triple Chainring Weekend or "America's Little Switzerland" Weekend later this year. Both routes offer places to stop for water and snacks about every 20 to 25 miles. The 82-mile route has a cafe at the halfway point where we will stop for lunch. A cue sheet and map will be provided to all riders, allowing riders to break up into groups according to their individual riding pace.
Plan to arrive between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM. We will push-off promptly at 9:00 AM.
We will ROCK!
