Sorry for the short notice on this Meetup. Just remember ... 1st Wednesday of every month at Irishtown.
Peter probably won't be singing, although I was very glad to just be able to see him at Irishtown last Wednesday. He is recuperating from his eye surgery.
This is a Meetup that's really just for fun and for meeting other Pagans/Witches, etc. It's a loud pub so it's hard to have deep, serious conversations there, and if that's the reason you're coming, you'd be better off going to one of our other Meetups. Okay? Got it? Don't complain and say you wanted something different.
I'm warning you, we are there to have fun. We might not discuss anything Pagan/Witchy at all at this meetup. There are a lot of Pagan/Witchy classes in the Portland/Vancouver area. This isn't one of them.
We're loud, sometimes obnoxious, silly, opinionated and not particularly well behaved. We're friendly, good people but we're not there to coddle anyone who needs special treatment. If we don't agree with what you're saying, we'll let you know. (Do I speak from experience? Indeed, I do.)
Our Meetups get lively. I tried to strangle Lew at the last Irishtown Meetup. All in good sport though. I smiled as I strangled. Don't worry, Lew's still among the living.
The food is great, the drinks are stout, the crew is lively, and it's just generally good craic. Reasonable prices, free parking, easy to get to from Portland. When Peter is playing, the music is the best Irish music around.
This is my favourite Meetup of the month. Hope you come and decide to have fun. It's even more fun when Peter plays.
