"Will Technology Be Taking All Of Our Jobs?"

During the most recent election campaigns, both presidential candidates have, at one time or another, promised a bright future, with many more good paying jobs.  But can our next president, whoever he might be, deliver on that promise?  Many traditional jobs have already been eliminated by modern technology.  How many more will be eliminated by further advances?  Will jobs be created to replace those that are lost, or must society somehow adapt to a world in which full employment is no longer a realistic possibility?  If so, what adaptations will be required?

Hello all. I tried to attend tonight but had no idea where to go once I got there. The building is huge! The receptionists inside didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about. So I left. I'd like to come next time!

Hey everyone. This is my first meeting. I'm excited. I recently graduated from CU-Boulder with a Philosophy degree. Great topic, thanks for organizing.

If anyone has the time beforehand, here's an interesting video describing some repercussions of mechanization. It's maybe optimistic borderline utopian at times but it says that 75% of the global workplace could be replaced tomorrow by machines. Just watch the 5-10 minutes after the 1 hour, 56 minute point

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
