Eliciting Nonfunctional Requirements

Get the Users “IN” the Doghouse and Keep Yourself Out!

Roxanne will speak to IIBA members in Auckland and Wellington on how to effectively elicit nonfunctional requirements.

Do performance requirements such as response time, throughput, capacity, and availability get missed? What about flexibility requirements such as scalability, multi-lingual, installability, and extendability? Roxanne Miller will reveal "patterns" of nonfunctional requirements that can reduce the possibility of missed requirements that cause project rework. Come and find out what you've been missing!

At the end of the session, you will be able to:
1. Recognize the difference between functional and nonfunctional requirements.
2. Understand various categories of nonfunctional requirements.
3. Discover the simplicity of this frequently misunderstood and overlooked requirement type.

Redvespa have brought Roxanne Miller (President of Requirements Quest) to Wellington and have graciously arranged this presentation! One not to miss.

Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation, bought the book and am making my way through it. Just what this emerging BA needs. Great turnout. Thanks to RedVespa for the opportunity. Roxanne is an awesome speaker.

Fantastic turnout - thanks everyone that could make the event for your attendance, thanks to Roxanne for an entertaining and informative session (I am going to HAVE to try out "Tankness" as a non-functional sometime), and special thanks to the team at Redvespa for making it all possible. See you at the next event!

Good speaker. She presented some new perspectives on non-functionals. And thanks to the good selection of nibbles - a pleasant surprise!

    Hi everyone,

This looks like a really popular event! There is now a waitlist for the event so if you have RSVP'd and can't make it, can you please change your RSVP so the people on the waitlist have a chance to plan to come along.
