Wolf Camp Family Activities & Lectures at the Washington Homeschool Convention

Visit the Wolf College to hear stories, make a menagerie of useful and fun, hands-on projects and learn about the natural world around us. Wolf College activities and lectures are complimentary with admission to the convention (see below for prices or see for all the details).

Friday morning, you’ll learn how to spin natural materials into strong rope that can be used for lashing together a survival shelter, making fishing line, repairing a broken backpack and more. Next we’ll teach you how to make insulative grass mats that will protect you from losing precious body heat when sitting on the ground. You can take it home to use for yourself or give as a gift.

In the afternoon, Chris Chisholm will give a presentation about the fascinating natural wonderland right outside your door including ideas for fun family activities. Then you’ll learn about the many uses of cattails (food, medicine and more) while weaving their leaves into a small coaster or hot pan holder to take home.
