Lets go to the Javascript meetup to learn about Knockout and MVVM

  • Feb 26, 2013 · 6:00 PM

For those of us that can, we'll be meeting at Franklin Tap (325 South Franklin Street) at 5:30 for a quick drink and then head on over to Enova en mass.

Knock out troubles for complex UI. Learn how to create rich and dynamic UI in 30min. The heart of Knockout is observable dependency tracking. It uses Model-View-View Model (MVVM) pattern to simplify dynamic javascript UIs.

Knockout helps to write very clean code for automatic UI refresh and declarative binding. It's much easier to scale up nontrivial UI and handle overlapping behaviors.http://knockoutjs.com has very nice api documentation and interactive tutorial.

About the presenter:
Md Khan (http://www.mmrkhan.webs.com) is a software developer at Nielsen, mostly works for client side web development. Before moving to Chicago, Md finished MS in Software Engineering from North Dakota State University.

You will need to join and RSVP on the Chicago Javascript Meetup page. RSVPing here will just let other CWDevs members know that you are going and it would be cool to have company.

6:00 - begin arriving and socialize

6:30 - presentation begins

Space, food and refreshments will be provided by Enova Financial.

I noted that Md Khan attended the University in North Dakota.
I moved to Chicago from North Dakota prior to high school. I am very excited to learn about web development and actually post a website.
