Learn about Internet of Things from AT&T

Interested in the Internet of Things (IoT)?

Want to collect and retrieve data from Internet-connected sensors? AT&T is teaching two free developer workshops on its RESTful M2X Data Service APIs. Please join us for an afternoon or evening of learning, coding, socializing, and eating!

Afternoon M2X APIs Workshop
When: Tuesday, June 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (registration & lunch 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)

Tools: Using cURL for the lab exercises. Bring your laptop. AT&T subject matter experts will teach you how to implement the AT&T M2X Data Service APIs in your apps, then give you time to roll up your sleeves and code. Conveniently located in the Willis Tower in the heart of the Loop, this also provides a great opportunity to network with AT&T and your fellow developers…and get some great views of the city! Seating is limited so sign up soon.

Great---however, I've noticed these things often don't get through the whole planned syllabus of activities and presentations. Would have been Ok to start while we were finishing up our (delicious!) lunch.

Oh no! I guess I left in the nick of time. Hated to miss the gizmo lab though. :(

Clarified for me how APIs work--something about how concrete the IoT aspect is made it all make sense.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
