About the Meetup:
To Hack: To see 'breaking' something as an opportunity to learn more. To work on a problem and collaborate to find a variety of answers.
This weekly event gives us a space to code together. Whether you're just getting started, or are a veteran in the tech world, there's a seat for you at the table. We welcome anything from Wordpress and Drupal dabbling, though to PHP, Ruby and Pythoners as well as all you Indesign and Photoshoppers, UX wireframers and QA testers!
This week is special as we'll be meeting at Braintree and pairing up with Open Hack Chicago, who've invited us to come drink and code with them too. A great change to meet other programmers in Chicago while ensuring that we swarm the place with awesome woman developers.
This means that just this once, #XXHack is co-ed.
Be advised, you must let us know your real name to be admitted into the Braintree building! Thanks.
BYOL: Bring your own laptop!
You don't have to be working on any project to come to XXHack, it's a great space to just hang out with other women who code. If you'd like to work on our group service project, bring your laptop and someone will most certainly put you to work for the greater good.
Our goal is to set up those new to the tech world with some amazing women mentors... to pair program with, to get props from and to get the lay of the land from those in the know.
