$10.00 a year
Why: Dues first cover the cost of the meetup site.
Come join us for training, support and friendship! Pick an event or just meet us out for exercise. Some of the larger events that we're working towards are:
Riverwood Sprint Tri in April (Clayton), Ramblin Rose Sprint Tri in May (Raleigh), MSBike in Sept (New Bern, NC)... there is also expressed interest in various half and full marathons.
I will use training schedules and info from various sources to include Active.com, beginnertriathlete.com, book sources, etc. Please feel free to send me ideas. And, don't forget to watch the message board for additional information such as nutrition, tips, books and videos.
Organized events will also be posted (those are always fun and you get a T-SHIRT!) and I encourage you all to send me ideas, events, and days/times/locations that work better for you.
You do NOT have to be training for one of the above events. I am using them as timelines because I know there are people in the group interested in participating in those events. And, they are far enough in the future that everyone can be successful.
This group is for anyone interested in running, biking and/or swimming. You do not have to be training for anything. Just come out and do whatever works for you.
Also, watch for get-togethers just to hang out and discuss how we’re doing and share ideas for more / different workouts.
*PLEASE NOTE: We are true beginners, we can not give any professional training advice.
Some people run 10-12 min miles, some run/walk and there are a few others who run at a much easier and faster pace. Bike times and paces also vary.
**No One is left behind. There is always a 'no drop' policy.
There is a $10 annual member fee.
Its content is only available to members.
To learn more, contact the organizer directly, or you can go ahead and join the group.
Your organizer will refund you if:
What members are saying
