TOPIC: DEFINING MOMENTS
SPEAKER: SHERRY WEST
We all have defining moments in our lives, but what do we do with that “AHA” feeling? Sherry chronicles one her own defining moments and the ensuing life journey she has undertaken. It is a story of self doubt and self confidence, emotional highs and lows, successes and failures.
Sherry is a professional facilitator and trainer. She helps organizations with their strategic and tactical planning, team building and opportunity analysis. Having spent most of her career in some form of customer service, she also customizes training for front line staff in the hospitality industry and trains emerging leaders in the soft skills of networking, delivering polished presentations and creating their own presence. Regarding her services, she says,
“In everything I do, I foster creativity …. I believe in the power of stimulating circumstances.
I facilitate meetings, where people play the part they are supposed to, not the part they are given in life. I shake up businesses to think out of the box, so they can enhance their profitability AND have a blast learning how to do it. “
In everything I do, I create stimulating circumstances … I believe in the power of learning and humour.
I help front line staff create mind memory to call upon in difficult situations that will enable staff to solve problems resulting in memorable experiences for their customers. I help emerging leaders find their unique voice and presence that will fast track their career to the top of their game.
Sherry is also an actress and singer, having performed in community and professional theatrical productions as well as concerts and competitions for more than 30 years. Sherry uses her skills in entertainment in her training programs to create an atmosphere of fun while learning which leads to greater retention of the program materials and methods to deal with difficult or awkward situations.
