A fairly large house with a number of bedrooms/baths, but having common areas for "gathering", i.e. living, dining, kitchen areas. I prefer living in the city, close to shopping; however, out in the country would work as well.
Right off hand comes life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I believe we are living in trying times where our liberties may be at stake. I would hope that we as a community of women could stand strong and together for our continued rights as Americans. Honesty is highly valued to me and I would hope it would be right up there with those whom I may be communing with. If I needed you, would you or could you be there for me...like, in being with me at an important doctor appointment? Can we share our up and down moments and work through it? I value your company, your mission; can you value mine? I want but to live simply, to grow old gracefully.
Living alone seems to becoming more difficult as I get older, like making decisions, even cooking, what should I eat tonight?? I believe my life could be so much fuller if I had other women with whom I could communicate with, help do things with/for. A big motivator is also to live a more meaningful life.
I can do housework, cook, drive, help plan. I have experience in conflict resolution at work and at home (not too successful with my oldest child). I can take direction (I'm a little ADHD); plan, get quotes, make calls, have taught Life Skills 101, crisis counseling (DV), recruiting (volunteers) and train, scheduling, presentations to educators, youth, civic organizations, church, and more.
I brought my children by myself (mostly) in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy several genres of music, but prefer bluegrass and old rock and roll. I love to laugh I like to contribute to anything that would make whatever we do easier. I have lots of ideas, some not so good, but some that have worked. Sometimes I say things that don't come out quite right, but having ADHD as an adult doesn't make me bad; it gets me mixed up sometimes. Please bear with me because I mean no harm to anyone. I am loving and caring. Non-promiscuous senior wanting to be a part of a community where I will fit in with others of similar like minds. I am more spiritual than religious. I like giving more than getting. I believe I am good enough to be cared about and I believe that about you as well.
I am Jacqueline Owens, originally from Charleston, IL, spent 25 years in Atlanta, several years after that in Hendersonville, NC, and now Newton/Hickory, NC. Live alone; eat alone.
