What does your ideal community look like in it's physical form?

I would love for my Lotus Lodge community to become cooperatively owned, so everyone has true equality, and to reunite with our adjoining property. Together we create 2.5 acres with large old trees, organic gardens, a small stream, pond and plenty of space to build more. Also there's a river across across the nearest street, with fish, and the pond could be stocked as well (was in the past). I would love for our community to be a permaculture paradise, self-sustaining and cooperatively owned, sociocratically run.

What are the values you would like to have in common with others?

Good humor, great communication, flexibility, kindness and creativity - including co-creativity, with each other and with Nature and the unseen realms. I believe we are amazingly powerful and creative Spiritual beings having a Human experience - and love exploring and discussing what that means. I also highly value personal freedom and for each person to be authentic to their inner truth and guidance. While it's great to have common ground philosophically, it's even better to have mutual respect and to allow plenty of space for people to be themselves and to express individuality. I also love having fun and good humor! Laughter is the shortest distance between people. Beyond that, I value sustainability - living lightly and gratefully with all our relations.

What motivates you to want this experience?

Lots - since age 9. I think it's the most fun, easy (practical), sustainable and human way to live.

What do you have to contribute to the community?

Lots - been living it (evolving accordingly) and teaching relevant classes/workshops for 20+ years. Included in my skill pack is experience in sociocracy, NVC, the State of Grace Document, Imago Relationship Therapy, Conscious Communication, personal passion for community and patience. I also have a lot of energy, love to work/play in teams/groups and to celebrate the beauty and contributions of others.

Profile of you. Tell us about you. What would you like us to know about you?

More? Am a psychologist, humorist and pragmatist. Love nature, animals, hiking, good conversation and cocreating with others. I'm all about enjoying life and inspiring others to do so too - and think we can best do that in community. I also have a vision of catalyzing community in existing neighborhoods - beyond shared households and pocket communities. Maybe more later....

I have been involved in both living in and supporting the cocreation and healthy maintenance of communities for 30 years. In 2004 I co-founded a small community of about 8 people which is a hybrid housesharing situation (see LotusLodge dot com).
