What does your ideal community look like in it's physical form?

Meeting other women who get URGENCY (not the bathroom kind!) to envision, act and create a self sustainable core group, who have each others back, value and respect.

What are the values you would like to have in common with others?

i attend CSL asheville and love the people there, the message, the classes and the way i have changed my life by listening, acting, celebrating and remembering who i really am. retired national board certified high school art teacher, practicing artist, knitter and photographer... i don't want to live alone anymore. i am a risk taker, jump in, regret some of the jumps, but it made me who i am today by LEAPING!

What motivates you to want this experience?

i value solitude and respect others desire for same and also love doing things as sisters together. i knew back in 2000, when involved in a women's gifting circle, that the 'golden girls' had the right idea and i ventured to discuss this with weekly meetings in women's homes. it was the future then. THE FUTURE IS NOW. Ya can t get much more diverse than blanche, rose and dorothy. they made it work when boomer women were not projecting their lives in 20 years. now the 20 is here. whatayasay girls?

What do you have to contribute to the community?

My contribution is being authentic, asking questions that probe (with permission), a good listener, a cheerleader, working one on one or in small groups, which would certainly benefit a community setting. Respect and Valuing myself creates that with others. Focusing on the Divinity in others leads to the right questions that lead to solutions. Design is my forte: In art, the home, and friendship. www.iSacsPhoto.com www.iKnit-Infinity. check out what i do.

Profile of you. Tell us about you. What would you like us to know about you?

Graduated in 1969 Buffalo State, NY. Art Ed. MS /NBCT -Taught 18 years (NY and Florida). Chose Asheville for it's sense of community, authenticity and caring, spirituality and art scene. When I saw the mountains for the first time in April, i wept. Coastal living my entire life (except buffalo & siena, italy for a semester) the mountains were like a gentle rolling sea of green. Am metaphysical, an artist and writer.
