Hackfest Recap and GVP Career Day Prep

April runneth over with hackathons.  So let's get together for a recap, just in time for Startup Weekend in Atlanta.  We'll share our experiences, lessons learned and next steps.

Also, for those of you participating in the Global Village Project Career Day, we'll have a prep session, after the hackathon retrospective.  We'll go over  the agenda for the day and any best practices for presentation format.  It'll also give you a chance to ask any questions you have before the Career Day on Friday, May 2.

Bring your laptops and any questions you have.  Plenty of food and drinks will be provided.

A huge thanks to our sponsor, ThoughtWorks, for making space on their calendar for us, on such short notice!  (Have I mentioned how awesome our sponsor is? :-)

Hey all, the building is 100 Colony Square and we are on the 14th floor. The lobby doors lock at 7:00 PM so if you arrive after that, ping me at (four six nine)[masked] to let you in.

I'm not sure, but I'll check with Ryanne and add that info to the meetup description.

@Erica: Do you have any discounts for the Startup Weekend? I wanted to go as a developer but it's $99! Seems a bit pricy if we're offering to help and taking our own laptops along... I don't mind paying for my own lunch if that's the cost they're trying to cover.

Hey Heidi, there is a general $50 off discount code for developers: "ATLDEV". I'll also share it with the group in tomorrow's newsletter.
