(Boulder) WWC with Mike Gehard and Joanne Cheng

The July Boulder meet up is lucky to have Mike Gehard, a senior developer at Pivotal Labs, come and present! We are discussing if the topics should be paired programming, extreme programming, or a Ruby/Rails workshop and talk. If you have any suggestions/preferences, please feel free to comment on this! Thank you!

Joanne Cheng, developer at thoughtbot, will also be coming to give us her presentation on Creativity with Ruby Processing that she will be giving in Germany at eurucamp and in Boston at Wicked Good Ruby. We are honored to have her present to just us!

I will post a more detailed schedule when we know for sure what will be happening.

6:00 - 6:15pm - grab a bite and mingle with fellow WWC members

6:15 - 6:45pm - Joanne Cheng's presentation of Creativity with Ruby Processing (https://github.com/joannecheng/rfp/blob/master/joanne-cheng.creativity-with-ruby-processing.md)

6:45- 8:00pm- Mike Gehard presenting on Paired Programming

* Please note, we have changed the normal meeting time from the first Thursday in July, to the second Thursday to avoid conflicts with the Fourth of July holiday.

Please Note: This group is only open to people that identify as women. Emphatically queer- and trans-friendly.

The presentations by Mike and Joanne were excellent. I really liked Joanne's
examples of creative and useful coding projects she developed too! Overall,
    a great WWC meetup event.

My car just died! (Might be the battery, but I won't be able to get it fixed today.) Is there someone driving from Denver that wouldn't mind giving me a ride there and back? I live in downtown Denver near the ballpark.

    • Rylee

I'm still looking for a ride! Please let me know if you're heading back to Denver after tonight's event. Thanks! :)

Hey All! I really look forward for tonight! This will be my 1st time going to the Pivotal Labs location. Do they have parking there, or is it just street parking/Boulder parking garage?

    July 11, 2013

    • Kinsey A.

Hey Kim. There is street parking for free around Pivotal and paid parking (only pay until 7) across the street as well. The parking garages will be more expensive but there is one on the other side of the street at Pivotal. If you get lost, feel free to call me at[masked]

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
