After this its pretty much depends on what you want to build, UI elements and leverage XCode Interface Builder's power. If you are looking to contribute in an open source project - here is a good list.

Well worth attending, as a beginner I gained lots of information.

Thank you for attending Cath. Do let me know if you have any questions and I will be more than happy to help!

Some people are not able to make it tonight, so I've confirmed those 5 (as of this posting) people on the waiting list. If you guys are able to make it, well and good, if not, that's understandable as you only got confirmed today.

Unfortunately, I can't go to the meetup (exam revision not going as smoothly as planned:(). Any chance there will be slides/video afterwards?

    1 · May 27, 2014

    • Vinita R.

Hi Kris, Will try to post slides depending on how useful they turn out to be during the presentation! Best luck for your exams. Cheers

Hi I have an old Mac OS X Lion[masked] should I download an earlier version of Xcode and where can I find that?

    1 · May 26, 2014

    • Vinita R.

Hi Cath, If you go on App Store and search for xcode - it should give you compatible version to Lion. I think it will be Xcode 4.x

      May 26, 2014

  • Emer C

I am on the waitlist! Will this session be repeated in the near future?

    May 23, 2014

    • Vinita R.

Come along Nandhini .. I am sure we will manage and accommodate! I would also request everyone who is on confirmed list to change RSVP just in case their plans have changed and they are not going to be able to make it! Looking forward to seeing you everyone at the event!

      May 24, 2014

    • Nandhini N.

      Sure, Thanks Vinita!

      May 25, 2014

  • Johanna

Is a MacBook required, or can we develop on Windows machine?
Do you have a list of the software yet, or, alternatively, can you let me know if any of it isn't free to download so I can decide whether to fork out the big bucks and RSVP.
    Thanks for organising this!

    May 9, 2014

    • Sheree

Furthermore Johanna, as I've said earlier, if you don't have a Macbook etc, you can look on with someone who does :)

      May 9, 2014

    • Johanna

But there's nothing like a bit of hands-on development!
I was considering upgrading my gear anyway... if there's still a spot free next weekend when I make my decision I'll definitely sign up.

  • AppMadam

I'd really like to come to this if space becomes available. It looks like it's full already sadly for me.

    May 6, 2014

    • Sheree

I've added some more places now :) come along!

      May 6, 2014

  • Jenny

Can you expand on what programming knowledge would be beneficial?

    1 · March 10, 2014

    • Sheree

Kris, that sounds fine. Again, if you are stuck, we will try our best to help you!

      May 3, 2014

    • Vinita R.

Kris, Jenny - it will be good to have some sort of programming language background - even if it is at beginner level - that should be fine. This is just so that you can follow the session and terms like classes, interface etc sounds familiar. Will be posting what is going to be covered in the session soon and then as Sheree said will try our best to help in case anyone is stuck!

      May 5, 2014

  • Shay

I am assuming you have to bring a MacBook? If this was on the weekend and more central would be ideal.

    May 3, 2014

    • Kris B.

I second that. I don't live in London and weekends would be great. Unless someone wants to start a WWC group in Berkshire:)

      1 · May 3, 2014

    • Sheree

A macbook would be ideal yes, however if you don't have one, you can look on with someone else :)
Furthermore, the location has now changed to Maker's Academy, to allow for easier travel :)

      May 3, 2014

  • Meenakshi

I am not able to apply for this event as it says RSVP is closed?
    Is it really closed?
    I am interested to attend

    March 20, 2014

    • Sheree

Yes it is closed and it will open 1 month before the event date :)

      March 20, 2014

  • Kuan

Have you considered varying the day of the week for these meetups please, eg sometimes Mon or Wed? So that those of us who have a regular commitment on Tuesdays can attend. Thank you.
