Ruby Core Group Planning Event

Are you a rockstar Ruby/Rails Dev? Or have you been learning Rails through RubyTuesdays for a while and need to be challenged? Then we want YOU!

Ruby Tuesdays Core is a small group of women who develop projects, give lightning talks, and mentor new developers for RubyTuesdays. This is a recurring meeting every few months.

What is the Ruby Tuesdays Core Team?

A group of women who help organize the Women Who Code: Ruby Tuesdays group. This could be doing everything from mentoring, doing short lightning talks, developing a new test driven project, or even blogging!

What experience do I need to be a part of the Core Team?

We are looking for women with some form of prior Ruby development experience. (doesnt need to be a lot) Or women who have been regularly attending our RubyTuesdays meetup, looking to be challenged further. Teaching is the best way to learn!

What sort of time commitment does this entail?

Really up to you! We expect you to be active for at least 6 weeks, however the level of time commitment is really up to you.

Id like to be a core member, but cant come this time. Can I still mentor?

YES! Just email me, and well work something out.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
