iOS Study Group - 5/2

Come and learn to make iOS apps in Objective-C!

We will work in groups to make a simple app each night. All levels of coders are welcome to attend.

This week's topic is an introduction to MapKit.

If this is your first time working with Objective-C and Xcode, please take a look at the Learning iOS Resources page on our Wiki.

All lessons, examples, and code will be posted to our group GitHub account:

We also have a Google Group:!forum/ios-study-group

6:30 - 7:00 Dinner

7:00 - 9:00 Coding

What to do beforehand?

You will need a Mac computer running OSX[masked] or later, with Xcode 4.0 or later. Please install Xcode from the Mac App Store before you arrive! It is a very large program and will take some time to download.

If you do not have a Mac, please let us know in your RSVP so we can try to pair women together.

This event is exclusively open to people who identify as female.
