    Mini-Hackathon!!

    Hi,

I'm looking for programmers to pair program with this weekend. I'm building in some additional functionality into my website and would love the support and camaraderie of coding with others, especially those who are more experienced than I am but all are welcome. Please email me at [masked] if you are interested. I'll be getting food for everyone and it should be fun way to get to know each other. Also I expect this will lead to a hire at some point if that is of interest to you.

Lastly, even if you can't join this weekend please email me. I'm hoping to do it more that once and possibly weekday evenings too.

Thanks and hope you can join!

Hey! Here's my presentation from last night. SlideShare is having some trouble with the images in my PDF though, so stay tuned for those... I tweeted at them, so hopefully they get back.

If you have any questions, find me on Twitter @lizhubertz! http://www.slideshare.net/lizhu...

It would have been nice to have everyone in the room take 10-20 seconds to introduce themselves, their level of Ruby and a very brief summary of what they're working on. I think it was a missed opportunity to have all those awesome women in one room without allowing us the opportunity to hear from others who was attending. Maybe next time.

Hi Alicia, The beginning 6:30-6:50 session is intended for meet and greet and i did notice most people were already socializing at that point. Yes but in the future I will make sure we have separate rooms when coding sprints are happening so people who want to attend the sprint will go to one room and others can mingle.

HI Laura, In the past we had issues with maps linking to the address and hence we advise the attendees to use their own google directions to the written address listed above. Thanks, sowju

Ok great, I wasn't sure if the image, the address or I was mistaken. Thank you for clarifying.

I would like to attend this session on Practical Unix but I might not be able to make it on 18th March. Is there any way I could attend this online? Or if a recording of the session could be made available?

    • Georgia A.

We'll have to look into options for recording/putting this online, but at the very least I'll post my slides. And I write a lot in the notes.
