Mobile Study Group: Core Team Info Session

  • Apr 3, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The iOS study group is expanding it's focus to Mobile Development and will become a Mobile Study Group!

That means we're incorporating Android, iOS, WinMo, etc. into the study group, but we need your help to do so!

You can help by becoming a member of the Mobile Core Team. If you are interested in leading a project, giving talks, mentoring, and/or managing the events (a non-technical option) please join us for our first Mobile Core Team meeting to hear more about the opportunity.

If you've been attending a Women Who Code SF meetup for some time and would like to get more involved with the organization, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Attend this information session to see if you want to join the Mobile Core Team!

I'd love to come and help. I recently moved to SF from Mountain View where I helped organize South Bay WWC meetups. I've also got a fair bit of experience with Android and I'm interested in learning iOS. I'll be late, probably around 7pm or 7:30 - hope that's ok!

I've been publicizing the iOS nights, and now wondering if the new Mobile Study Group will pick up on Thu 4/10, the week after this organizing session? Or if the first meeting of the new Mobile Study Group will be further out?

Hi, I can lend a hand with non technical items. Also, what kind of space do you require for the Mobile Study Group meetings/events? The space is needed in SF, correct? This is my first foray into these events so not familiar with the landscape needed to host. Just need an idea of want resources the host company must provide.

Hi everyone- glad to see there's interest in the Mobile Core Team! Without you all, it'd be hard to get this up and running. Does anyone know of a company host for April 3? They need to provide space from 6:30-8:30 and food for around 15-20 women. Please let me know! I'm actively searching for a place to host this event.

Excellent that this group is happening, since I want to improve my skills in developing sites and apps for Android, WinMo, etc. as well as iOS. I'm not sure I'm qualified yet to lead a project or give a talk, but I'd be happy to volunteer for other things.
