JavaScript Study Group (Hack Reactor)

Join us every Monday for this self-paced JavaScript study group where we come together to eat snacks, study and help each other out. It is supported by a handful of TAs to help you get unstuck when you can't figure out how to get those error messages to go away.

Resources to get started:

• Khan Academy

• Codecademy

• Eloquent JavaScript

• CodeSchool

• GirlDevelopIt Workshops

Please contact [masked] if you are interested in TAing this study group.

Looking forward to growing as engineers together.

Hack Reactor is an intensive JavaScript School where amateur developers come to become mid-level, full-stack software engineers in ~12 weeks. For more information checkout Hack Reactor's Website.

Hi! I'm currently teaching myself HTML, CSS, and JS to help build a website for a nonprofit I am on the board for. Any chance someone will be there tonight who has experience building a website from scratch, or at least from Wordpress or Squarespace?

I have experience building websites from scratch, and I can also help if you or anyone else needs it. You also might want to do the HTML/CSS tutorial in; I have found it a very good resource for learning how to build sites from scratch. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! I've gone through HTML & CSS in Codeacademy, skillcrush, and Kahn academy. Right now I'm dipping into JavaScript. I'm mostly looking getting some insight as to where to start structural to make sure the site navigation is intuitive and everything behaves properly. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
