Hey all! Ive got some great feedback from the survey I sent out last week. After going through the surveys, weve decided to change the format a bit. Next week we will spend time going in depth into how to structure methods and further discuss models. Dont forget to bring your questions! Looking forward to seeing you all next week.

You dont have to be an alumni to attend. yes all Ruby tuesday attendees are welcome. this is more like an informal study group where we allocate 3 hours of our wednesday to read a tutorial and learn. There wont be any training or teaching involved in this one. but there will be some people who know ruby who may help you if you are stuck at a concept.

Hey Ladies! Super excited to see you all tomorrow. If you didnt come last time, please try and install your dev environment beforehand. Were hoping that everyone has completed the first four methods in the game model this past week (#next_player to #coords_valid?). Ill post solutions tomorrow, so no worries if you havent gotten through them. If you have still been having trouble installing your dev environment, we would still love to see your faces! As for all you windows installers, Georgia has volunteered to help each of you individually. If youre brand new to programming, try out these tutorials before you try installing! Theyre a great intro to ruby, and there will be plenty of mentors to answer your questions tomorrow! http://tryruby.org/ and http://www.codecademy.com/track...

    Hi christine,

I have been to a couple of those. And normally it would be 1) Introductions
2)Beginners - will work on beginner resources available .
-- Beginners get pointed to and get guidance on how to install ruby , rails and other software needed .
--Good books we recommend are - Learn To Program by Chris Pine 3)Intermediate - will work on "Learn ruby the hardway" or whichever book you like. There will be a group of people here so if you dont understand some concepts there will be people to help.

    4) Advanced- Will work on projects. or Michael Hartl tutorial.

The study groups normally go from 6:30 - 9pm. based on how long the company that is providing space is willing you to stay there. --sowjanya
