I've already mentioned most of the stuff in the first Introduction. I'm retired, and involved in a number of local activities, most dealing with writing or related to that. Is that enough to say?
Writing for me is what I can't not do. When I get discouraged and quit, ideas start flooding in, so now I write. Beginning with prompts help me or some other overall way to get going, such as just writing anything, as fast as I can, to get stimulated for what I really need to be writing.
A sense of community with other women writers. I need to limit myself with organizations, but this looks like a place I'd like to be, with other women who write.
This came up on the MeetUp that was emailed to me, when I signed up for another meetup. I don't remember exactly how that happened.
I'm a member of WGOT, and in two poetry critique groups. I have 2 books published by an independent press, and several more self-published books, including two poetry collections, and other books of stories.
My first time with them. First rate writers. I can learn a lot from them.
