Hi, I'm a mom and grandmother. I've lived in Greensboro for about seven years. I really like it here and want to be more involved with the community. I love to read, walk, swim, travel, and go to events. I've been a writer all of my life--mostly nonfiction. I'm so excited about meeting fellow women writers.
To me writing is thinking on paper. I write to express my feelings, clear my mind, relax, organize my thoughts, as well as to inform, analyze, and sometimes even to entertain. I love the process of writing and revising, and I love to teach writing. I love to hear other writers discuss their craft and have been to numerous events to see, hear, and meet nationally-recognized writers. Over the years I've been to many workshops and conferences on writing, including the Women's Writers Conference held at Salem College back in the early 1990s. Although I am mainly a nonfiction writer, my daughter is an excellent fiction writer. I am eager to try more fiction pieces.
I would like to be inspired to write by being with fellow writers and sharing and discussing our craft. I would like to be part of writing-centered outings, as well as more socially-centered activities, such as dining out and seeing movies and plays. I'm really open to about anything. I think it would be great to be part of such a group!

Hi, I'm thrilled to join a group of women writers. I've been interested in writing since elementary school and have held jobs that involved a lot of writing--mostly nonfiction. I've lived in Greensboro for about seven years and love it here.
Inspirational, honest, motivating, supportive, new friends.
