Hi. I'm new here & like people. I've raised 5 kids & have now started on raising a 6th-- me! I love reading because of the diversity it allows me to experience. Writing puts me in a very vulnerable position. It exposes my strengths & inadequacies to others... but it is because other writers have risked this exposure that my life has been so enriched. I am thankful for all these 'gifts' I have been given by others.
Words have a magic to them that I can't define. I want to be able to create those magical moments when for some inexplicable reason those black & white lines come alive. Right now I feel more like a 2-year old trying to master crayons-- the color and lines just don't look anything like the cat in front of me. In fact I can't even write the first letter of my name or even make it stay in the lines!
Courage, shared laughter, accountability, encouragement, a safe place for kind yet critical honesty, inspiration from some amazing women.
Hi. I just recently moved to Winston-Salem. I'm looking for diversity, creativity, interesting & stimulating interaction with kindred spirits who find that their souls too are deeply affected by the written word & other forms of communication.
So good to see those able to attend and enjoy some time together.
