Women Aloud London is a group for women who enjoy reading, socialising and making new friends. We'll have regular book clubs and also do a social get together as often as possible.

More details about the book club:

Please join up if you want to read thought-provoking books, have a lively discussion over a drink or two, and make new friends along the way.

We meet every other month at a venue in Central London. Here are some of the books we've read previously:

  • How to be a woman by Caitlin Moran
  • Far From My Father's House by Jill McGivering, and Jill kindly joined us for the evening
  • Half the Sky by Nicholas D. Kristof & Sheryl WuDunn
  • The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber
  • The Help by Kathryn Stockett
  • Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson
  • Call The Midwife by Jennifer Worth
  • Mistress of My Fate: The Confessions of Henrietta Lightfoot by Hallie Rubenhold, and Hallie kindly joined us for the evening
  • Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal by Jeanette Winterson
  • The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
  • When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman
  • The Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
  • The happiness project by Gretchin Rubin
  • The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy

Henry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
