Artists! How to Write About Your Art

Special Treat: We'll have guest facilitator and author of "Art-Write: The Writing Guide for Visual Artists", Vicki Krohn Amorose here to offer this workshop for us!

Is describing your artwork a necessary task on your To-Do List? Do you need guidance and a little push? For today's working artist, words have never been more important for gaining attention, connections and opportunities. Maybe your career has developed, but your promotional writing or artist statement has not. Or maybe you’re mystified by the task and don’t know where to begin. Let’s start here. This 2-hour interactive and encouraging class is based on the book "Art-Write: The Writing Guide for Visual Artists" and led by the author.

$25 tuition includes a copy of the "Art-Write" book. If you bring your own copy of the book, tuition is $15. Please bring cash and a notebook or pad on Sept 15th.

Here's a personal note from Vicki:

Hello group members. I see we have several spots left for my art-writing workshop on Sunday Sept 15. I know how it is. Writing about your art is challenging. You'd rather do…whatever. A small amount of well-crafted writing goes a long way toward sustaining a life in the arts. Especially for today's artist, writing connects you to audience.

I promise you will leave this class with essential tools.
Look here on Amazon to peek inside the book.

    Hope to meet you soon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
