1st Beer Tasting November Meetup

This location is shown only to members

At our 1st meetup, we will have several different types of beer to taste. We will go over the different types, what beer is made from, proper tasting techniques and places in San Francisco to go and buy/taste amazing beers....

Taste a Doppelbock, a sour beer aged with currants in a wine barrel, a pumpkin brown ale unlike any other, a double IPA, coffee stout, just to name a few AND we will have Racer 5 on tap....

Taste beers that are made with wine, beers that are made with spices, sour beers, chocolate beers, beers that are celebratory, beers that go well with dessert and more!

Hi Alex, there will probably be about 5 people that know each other, but all the rest are new friends to be made!

Thank you EVERYONE who attended and made the first meetup a success!
We learned all about different styles of beer- from a double IPA, to a Fresh Hop Ale, to the oldest recipe of beer dating back to King Midas to Sour Beers, to Belgian Beers, to Fruit Beers, to Barley Wine, to Porters and to Stouts!
I know not everyone likes every style but it was fun trying them all and seeing which ones everyone liked! I am glad everyone had so much FUN and I look forward to our next meetup~

I had a fantastic time! Tilla's place is beautiful and she was a pleasure as a host. Her and her husband were very informative, the beers were tasty, and the company was wonderful! I can't make it to the next outing, but I look forward to seeing everyone again after that. This is the beginning of a beautiful meetup group. :o)

There were tons of great new beers to try. Tiila did a great job talking about each of them and giving us a bit of history, food pairings, and where to shop. It seems like everyone got along great together. I loved all the new beers we tried. My favorite being the Double IPA: Pliny the Elder. It was also great to try my first Sour Ale: Consecration. I wasn't a huge fan of it, but still loved the new taste experience. I had a great time and would LOVE to go to another Beer Tasting Meetup!
