Everything You Want to Know about Meditation
Meditation is an ancient practice offering techniques that create the conditions for balance and openness in the body, and lucidity in the mind. Adapted from Yoga, Zen & Tibetan buddhist traditions, this workshop offers tools that can be used everyday to begin or strengthen your meditation practice.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to ask and receive answers to your questions about meditation. We will discuss common obstacles that arise in practice, and fresh ways of approaching the practices you may already be familiar with. Whether a novice to meditative practice or an experienced meditator, having a point of reflection and reassurance in your experience can be highly beneficial. If appropriate or requested, we may return to practices that were covered in the first two workshops in this series, or we may spend time on new practices or variations that can strengthen your meditative experience. Come with questions in your heart and an open mind to explore together the diverse journey that is meditation.
$35/workshop. All levels welcome.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a blanket/mat/cushion to sit on and a journal to write down practices that work for you.
